On September 26, 2023, the regional competition of the 6th "BLOOMING CUP" 5G Application Contest in Shandong came to an end. After rigorous qualification review, online expert evaluations, and intense competition in the preliminary and semi-finals, QW SOLAR's subsidiary, Shandong QW SOLAR, stood out among 2392 participating companies. With its innovative application of 5G technology in enabling dual carbon practices, it ultimately won the second prize in the Shandong region of the 6th "BLOOMING CUP" 5G Application Contest. It is reported that all the entries from participating companies showcased their excellent skills in applying 5G technology, making outstanding contributions to the development of 5G technology in Shandong.

The 6th "BLOOMING CUP" 5G Application Contest is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China and co-hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group, the China Communications Standards Association, and the China Branch of the Future Network Research Institute of BRICS. With the theme of "5G Sailing with Strong Momentum, Converging Realities for a New Engine," the contest aims to promote the application and development of 5G technology. It seeks to facilitate the deep integration of 5G technology in various fields such as industry, intelligent manufacturing, smart cities, healthcare, and transportation. The contest also aims to drive innovation and development in the areas of intelligent manufacturing, smart cities, healthcare, and transportation through 5G technology. Furthermore, it promotes the extensive application of 5G technology in strategic areas of national importance, providing innovative ideas and practical experiences for the development of 5G technology applications.

This edition of the contest has received significant attention from the industry. Over 12 million people have watched the competition in real-time through nearly 20 platforms, including Guangming Net, The Beijing News, PPTN, MIIT Video, Sina, 5G ZHIHUITANG, ALL IN ECLOUD Business live streaming, and 5Gn Android Video, among others.

Shandong QW SOLAR Zero Carbon Park, jointly planned and deployed by the Industrial and Information Technology Bureau of Zaozhuang City, China Mobile, and ZTE Corporation, follows the 5G+MEC industrial private network approach. It utilizes one macro base station and two sets of indoor distribution systems to achieve full coverage of 5G network throughout the park. MEC equipment is deployed in the park's data center, effectively reducing data transmission latency, ensuring that production data remains within the park, and enhancing data control security. This provides a more stable network environment for the development of the zero carbon park. Simultaneously, at the Shandong QW SOLAR base, 5G technology is applied in various aspects. This includes 5G+unmanned AGV transport, 5G+MES data collection, and 5G+AI machine vision technology integrated into the HJT PV module production line, effectively improving the product yield rate. It is worth mentioning that AI intelligence is applied for defect detection, further enhancing the reliability and stability of the products. The innovative practices of Quanwei Technology in the field of PV have received unanimous recognition from experts and scholars present at the event.

QW SOLAR actively responds to the national call for peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality, dedicating itself to promoting green and low-carbon development both nationally and globally. It aims to provide exemplary models of development that can be emulated by others.

Against the backdrop of the thriving global PV industry and the impetus provided by Shandong QW SOLAR Zero Carbon Park, this innovative 5G application will be further replicated in QW SOLAR's Anhui (Sixian County) base. This expansion will bring new development opportunities and inject new vitality into the development of Anhui (Sixian County). Leveraging its expertise, rich experience, and continuous innovation activities in the field of renewable energy, QW SOLAR has strategically established its presence in Shandong base (Zaozhuang City), Anhui base (Sixian County), and the Shanghai Marketing Headquarters. In the future, the company plans to establish one to two additional bases, ultimately forming a framework of four major bases and one headquarters marketing center for QW SOLAR.
